Happy Home is a family business that grew out of its founders Mihkel and Liisa Nirk’s deep passion for architecture and the latest construction technologies. Mihkel brought extensive experience in real estate, and Liisa a strong background in marketing. Combining our expertise, we started out in real estate development. We noticed that the Estonian market lacked houses with the design and quality that discerning buyers expect. That is how Happy Home was born: an Estonian builder of CLT timber houses, creating homes with timeless design and uncompromising quality.
While searching for better building solutions, we discovered cross-laminated timber, or CLT. This innovative material has become the heart of every Happy Home.
Dreams are not born without a strong team.
A dream home is born from the cooperation of a strong team. Happy Home’s architects, project managers and builders are responsible for the whole design and construction, ensuring control over both the design and the quality. We are flexible: we adapt the size and layout of our ready-made designs or create a solution based on the client’s wishes and the plot. If you wish, we also design the interior and the outdoor area to create a complete living environment.
If you want to design your home yourself or manage the construction, you can take over the construction at any stage. You can also order a house kit with installation from us.

We have built more than a hundred houses. Most are in Estonia, but our homes can also be found further afield. The timber house has been home to Estonians for centuries, and we want it to remain the natural first choice for anyone building a new home today.

Building a house is often seen as complicated, time-consuming and stressful. Our goal is to make it simple and smooth. We offer a complete solution from the idea and building permit to the finished home and occupancy permit – we design, handle the paperwork and build.
This way you can choose a solution that matches your wishes and budget and be sure of the costs early on. We understand that a home is a big investment. That is why we give a 50-year warranty on the load-bearing structures of our houses and a 2-year warranty on the construction work, so that you can make your decision with more confidence. A vision for foreign markets, a focus on Estonia.
Together with Swedish partners we have set up a subsidiary in Sweden. It is an important step in introducing our knowledge and design to foreign markets. Our goal is to share the experience of Happy Home, an Estonian CLT timber house builder, and to offer our solutions outside Estonia too, taking into account the specifics of each market and local partners.
Estonia nevertheless remains at the centre of Liisa and Mihkel’s daily work. We believe there are still many opportunities to grow and develop in our home market. That is why we focus here on our clients, partnerships and creating well-thought-out, high-quality homes. The direction towards foreign markets complements our work in Estonia and helps to bring our experience to new clients and to grow.
